Vaginal surgery has definitely been incorporated by the MIGS, and new surgical techniques and technologies have caught on and are currently being used on the day-to-day practice of the gynecologic surgeon.

This five day MIGS course will provide important theoretical and practical information on laparoscopic and vaginal techniques, or the association of both, based on our current knowledge, and especially concerning the following matters: general gynecology, urogynecology, pelvic floor reconstruction, endometriosis, reproductive surgery and gynecologic oncology. Emphasis will be given to the applied anatomy on each surgical approach during the lectures, the discussions and surgeries. Pelvic neuroanatomy will be shown and special attention will be given on the sparing of the pelvic neurologic function, which has been disregarded over the past years and now has gained special interest in endometriosis advanced surgeries and in radical hysterectomy.

Renowned Brazilian professors will be operating and delivering lectures, and we will also have the honor of receiving respected Italian colleagues in the fields of pelvic anatomy, pelvic floor laparoscopic reconstruction, endoscopic suture, electrosurgery and endometriosis.

During this meeting we will have the privilege of first showing the micro camera    EVIS EXERA II, featuring HDTV image with 1,080 resolution lines . This camera was provided by the surgical equipment manufacturer Olympus Latinoamerica, a worldwide leading company in HDTV technology.
